User review: “The Sonora Grill is not the place you go to for Mexican food you can get everywhere else … I love that their chips and salsa are big round, crisp tortillas, that you can break in several pieces … Their salsas have a wonderful citrus base flavor to them that adds a wispy freshness to the joy of eating them. We also had the fresh, made-at-the-table guacamole and it was an excellent touch … I had beef enchiladas with a splash of Chile Verde and I was not disappointed … Our service was good, and the wait staff was knowledgeable of the menu.” — Vic S.
Rating:4 stars with 108 reviews
Address: 2651 N. 1850 West, Farr West

User review: “I do not give out 5 stars often. Here is why I gave it for Bella’s: Décor is splendid. Service was top notch … The salsa was the ‘house mild’. Absolutely perfect with a dash of salt added. Here is where it gets out of sight: This place offers NINE different salsa flavors simply for asking … Not long and here were the fajitas. Sizzling with four tortillas. Sides were amazing! … Meat was well-marinated and very ample amounts of meats … Only one time in my 75 years have I had better fajitas.” — Larry P.

I got the enchiladas swizas, so good. The chili verde had excellent flavor. My boyfriend got breakfast huevos rancheros…delicious! Authentic flavor. I will be back.” — Michaela M.
4. EL MATADOR
Rating: 3 1/2 stars with 83 reviews
Address: 2564 Ogden Ave., Ogden
Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
User review: “I use the term old-fashioned here affectionately. I learned what salsa was in the El Matador restaurant in Bountiful 35 years ago and they still have combo dish I ordered that day (the Mamacita) on the menu. I later figured out that warm salsa with finely grated cheese isn’t the norm but at El Matador that’s only way I’d have it. This Ogden location is the original and it’s still family owned with quality food at very fair prices.” — MrStUterr
