Recipe: Bourbon Street Steak

Steak greatness: Bourbon Street style


3 tablespoons yellow onion, diced

1/3 cup bourbon

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup lemon juice

2 cloves garlic, chopped

4 (10−ounce) New York strip steaks


Mix onion, bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice and garlic in a small bowl. Continue stirring until sugar is dissolved.

Place steaks in a shallow baking dish, single layer. Pour marinade over steaks. Cover and refrigerate for 4 to 8 hours.

Remove steaks and discard marinade.

Grill to desired doneness.
