10 Northern Utah, Salt Lake City food trucks you need to try this summer

With the warm weather comes the perfect opportunity to enjoy your meal outside, courtesy of a delicious food truck.

Food trucks are typically convenient and serve quality food at a decent price, making them the perfect option for your lunch break or a fun change of pace for family dinner.

There are more than 100 food trucks operating in Utah, and the Food Truck League can help you find where they’ll be on a given day.   

But if you’re looking for a suggestion, here are 10 food trucks in Northern Utah and the Salt Lake City area that you’re going to want to try this summer.

What: You might have already enjoyed a meal at one of Waffle Love’s restaurant locations in Bountiful or Ogden, but the regional chain also has several food trucks in Utah.

Two trucks are based in the Salt Lake City-area and offer up most of the delicious breakfast foods you love without having to go to a sit-down restaurant. 

Find it: Waffle Love posts its trucks’ schedules on their Facebook page and website every day.   


What: Korean barbecue on a plate is good and dandy, but Korean barbecue in a cup is even better. You choose your meat and level of spiciness to go along with rice, noodles and veggies. 

Find it: Cupbop has stores and trucks throughout Salt Lake and Utah counties, but its trucks often travel to Weber and Davis counties too.

Check Cupbop’s Facebook page to find their daily schedule. 


What: The name pretty much says it all — this Roy-based food truck parks at different Weber and Davis county businesses throughout the week and serves up unique variations of grilled cheese sandwiches. 

Find it: Feedback posts its schedule on its Facebook page a week advance.  


What: Based in Davis County, Wingin’ It specialize in — you guessed it — chicken wings served with homemade sauces. They also serve gourmet mac and cheese and loaded cheese fries.

Find it: Wingin’ It posts its schedule to its Facebook page.

What: The owners of Taste of Louisiana brought their love of Cajun foods to Utah in 2016. They serve up classics like Shrimp Po’ Boy sandwiches, fried chicken and shrimp gumbo daily. 

Find it: You can usually find Taste of Louisiana at the AAA Service Center in Clearfield on Tuesdays and at Hill Air Force Base on Wednesdays and Thursdays. For a daily schedule, check out Taste of Louisiana’s Facebook page.


What: This food truck offers up four main sandwiches that all have their own Peruvian flavor, but it also serves up salads, sliders and more. 

Find it: Find The Red Food Truck’s schedule posted at the beginning of each week on its Facebook page (facebook.com/rft.peruviansandwiches)


What: This Salt Lake City-based food truck specializes in delicious barbecue and homestyle foods like pulled pork, mac and cheese and more. 

Find it: 4Truck specializes in catering and special events, but you can occasionally catch them outside a business or park. Check its Facebook page for updates about where you can find this truck. 


What: This gourmet food truck dishes up haute Asian cuisine such as calamari, pot stickers and ginger pork throughout the Salt Lake City area. 

Find it: Primarily located in Salt Lake City, Chow Truck posts its schedule at the beginning of each week on its Facebook page


What: This local taqueria specializes in tacos but also offers up other Mexican classics like burritos and chips and salsa. Facil Taqueria practices farm-to-table principles with its locally sourced products and made-from-scratch tortillas. 

Find it: Facil Taqueria posts its schedule each month on its website.


What: This food truck boasts it has “the best golden, crisp dogs ‘o love to ever touch lips,” according to its website. 

Find it: World’s Best Corndogs specializes in catered events throughout Northern Utah, but it also posts its public schedule on its Facebook page each week.
