Burrito lovers rejoice: Chipotle, new eateries coming to Riverdale Town Square

RIVERDALE — In a few months, you won’t have to drive to Davis County to get your Chipotle fix.

Chipotle Mexican Grill is coming to Riverdale, according to Mike Eggett, community development director for Riverdale City.

The restaurant will be one of the tenants at Riverdale Town Square, a 110,000 square foot commercial development located at 801 Riverdale Road.

Chipotle is a fast, casual restaurant chain that serves tacos and burritos with more than 2,000 locations around the U.S., including restaurants in Layton and Farmington. The chain is known for using naturally-grown ingredients in its food.

MOD Pizza will also be moving in to Riverdale, Eggett said, joining The Habit Burger and Hobby Lobby as confirmed retail residents.

MOD Pizza serves individual artisan-style pizzas with more than 30 toppings to choose from, according to the restaurant’s website. Another MOD Pizza location is under development in Woods Cross.

Chiptole, The Habit Burger and MOD Pizza are hoping to be open by late summer, Eggett said.
