6 vegetarian-friendly restaurants you need to try in Ogden

If you don’t eat meat, dining out can often be difficult. Although most restaurants have an option or two for vegetarians, it’s usually difficult to find a restaurant with a decent meat-free selection.  

However, you’re in luck — these six Ogden restaurants are dishing out some delicious vegetarian-friendly food.

Two-Bit Street Cafe

This quaint 25th Street restaurant has dozens of vegetarian and vegan dishes on its menu. The best part? Two-Bit is filled with antique decor for you to marvel at while you enjoy your meal. 

Address: 126 Historic 25th Street, Ogden

Hours: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday and Monday.

Sonora Grill

Not only does this delicious Mexican restaurant have a handful of vegetarian options on its regular menu, it also has a vegan menu with several dishes — such as mushroom tacos and a fajita burrito — that are meat free.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Slackwater Pizzeria & Pub

One of Ogden’s most popular restaurants, Slackwater, has seven pizzas that are vegetarian-friendly. And if you’re not in the mood for a pizza, there are plenty of appetizers, sandwiches, salads and soups that don’t include meat.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

A Good Life Cafe & Juice Bar

Whether you’re looking for a sandwich, a salad or some delicious macaroni and cheese — a local favorite — A Good Life Cafe has plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Make sure you try a glass of freshly made juice to go with your meal.

Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday; closed Sunday.  

Funk ’n Dive Bar

This Washington Boulevard basement bar is known for its tasty food that puts a unique twist on the classics. Its regular menu has several vegetarian options, but Funk ‘n Dive also has a vegan menu with dishes like “Tatchos,” which are tater tot nachos, and the Chat Sandwich, which comes with grilled sourdough, Chao cheese, mayo, tomatoes and avocado.

Hours: 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday through Monday.

Thai Curry Kitchen

Both vegetarians and carnivores can find something to eat at Thai Curry Kitchen. This Ogden restaurant has two curry bowls and a lot of Thai salads that are meat free.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday; closed Sunday.
